If you do not have a code and enter the building, it will trigger the alarm system.

Hearing God: The Mind of Christ

Where is God? Is He near or is He far?

In Sunday's sermon, we will consider this question, and we will then briefly discuss six ways that God speaks to people.

Of those six, most of our time will be spent considering the two most common ways God communicates with us:

1. Through other people.
2. Through our minds/our human spirit

In preparation, I would encourage you to think about the last time that you believe God spoke to you. How did that happen? 

As a scripture to ponder, I would ask you to read 1 Corinthians 2. 

Meditate and pray on the final half of verse 16, "But we have the mind of Christ."

If you are following along in Dallas Willard's book, "Hearing God: Developing a Conversational Relationship with God," read Chapter 4 & 5.

Adult and Teen Challenge Banquet October 15th

Would You Like to Attend?

For years now, Transformation Church has had a presence at the Adult and Teen Challenge Banquet. Typically, we have had a group of eight of us that attend this dinner. This year, Alissa and I will not be able to attend.

Would you like to attend?

Seats are $50 per person. This includes the meal. Throughout the evening, there are testimonies from women and men who have overcome addiction. Personally, I know people that have been helped by this program. I am grateful for the work that ATC does. 

If eight people from our church sign up for this evening, we will be able to have "a Transformation Church table."
