Outdoor Service Sunday

Transformed

We had our first outdoor service and BBQ last weekend—it was a great time together outside! A big thank-you to all the volunteers who made it happen.

This Sunday, someone from our church—who grew up in this area—will be sharing their story of breaking free from addiction and coming to know Jesus. At one point, they even visited Transformation Church while in a place of deep despair. This would be a meaningful Sunday to invite a friend who may be struggling.

Just a reminder: we don’t have enough outdoor chairs for everyone, so please bring a lawn chair if you have one

We Are A Family

Invite someone

I'm so encouraged to hear about all the connections being made through shared meals. Keep it up! I often hear from people who decide to make Transformation Church their home that it was a simple meal invitation that made them feel like part of the family. It was the final nudge that confirmed they belonged here. The straw that built the camel's back!

So let me encourage you—invite someone to a meal, a coffee, an outdoor adventure, or whatever you most enjoy doing.

This kind of personal connection is one of the most meaningful ways we can build community with one another.

Invite to A BBQ

Did you know that Jeff and Mary Kirkpatrick and their boys followed the prompting of the Holy Spirit to relocate from the United States to Canada? They felt a call to live alongside the people of this area and the North. They desired that they might be used by Jesus in sharing the Good News of the Kingdom. If you've noticed, Jeff and Mary have taken this call seriously. They've served at the New Hope Youth Center, traveled to First Nations communities, served in downtown street ministry and have invested themselves in volunteering at Transformation Church.

They are inviting you to a BBQ at their house to spend time in prayer, update and celebration. I hope you can make it!

Be A Berean

Demon Possessed to Dear Disciple

Mary Magdalene's story of transformation stirs my heart.

Our main text on Sunday will be Luke 8:1-3 and John 20:1-18. I would encourage you to read beyond these texts to include Mary Magdalene's story in Mark 15 & 16, and Luke 23 & 24 and Matthew 27 & 28.

Let the Lord speak to you as you ponder her story. It's divine and extraordinary yet at the same time human and flawed. It's a story that speaks to us today.

How does Mary's life change? What was/is demon possession like?

What qualities does Mary have in the face of adversity?

Why does Mary stay by herself weeping at the tomb?

Why does she cling to Jesus?

Why does Jesus tell her, "Do not cling to me?"

Looking forward to worshipping with you on Sunday

Jeremy
