Exodus 32:9-14

How is your prayer life? Did you know that Jesus told His followers they could ask the Father for anything, and He would give it to them? Jesus taught His followers to pray with confidence and boldness.

After years of ministry, Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. They didn't ask Him to teach them to heal the sick, raise the dead, or walk on water. They realized that Jesus' connection to the Father in prayer was the key ingredient in His life, and they wanted to learn.

I think most of us can relate to the disciples; we would say, "Lord, teach me to pray."

This Sunday, we are going to get really practical. I am going to share some of my journey, including my struggle in prayer. We are going to learn about how clothes pins (you read that right) can help us pray, about breath prayers and about how to pray for others.

In preparation for Sunday, I want to encourage you to take 20 minutes to read through six prayers that Paul prayed for the churches he started. These six prayers are deeply encouraging and will give you an idea of how to pray for others.

- Ephesians 1:15-20, Ephesians 3:14-19, Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:9-12, 1 Thessalonians 3:10-12, 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12.
