Be A BereanWhat does a good life look like? Did you ever ponder why Matthew 5:3-12 is titled the Beatitudes? That title is beautiful, isn't it? As you read the Beatitudes is beauty the thing that stands out to you? Maybe you have always known, unlike me, that Beatitudes does not mean beautiful. It means blessed. Who in the Beatitudes is blessed? To be blessed is to experience the good life is it not? We often equate a state of blessing with peace, comfort, a happy family and a good day at the lake. We sure want those things! We want that good life! What conditions are the people in Matthew 5 experiencing when they are called blessed?
